KUMON is a method of individual development, which is used by 4 million children in 49 countries. Each book is a stepping stone to a certain skill and is designed for several lessons. The student independently performs game tasks, which are gradually becoming more complicated.
What will this book teach a child?
1. Development of fine motor skills Your baby's fingers will be strong and dexterous. He will learn to properly hold the wax chalk, which is necessary for further training.
2. Preparing the hand for writing If the child holds the chalk confidently and firmly and paints the drawings, it means that he has basic writing skills. Learning this skill takes place in several stages. Child: Draws. Paints individual fragments. Paints fragments with strokes in one direction. Draws lines. Writes letters and numbers. The tasks in the book are aimed at consistently working out the first three stages. During the tasks, the child will learn step by step to carefully draw and paint and prepare his hand for writing.
3. Development of the sense of color During the coloring of pictures the child begins to understand how different colors are combined and how the painted details take on certain shapes. All this will help him develop a sense of color and learn to distinguish shapes.
How to use the book?
To help your child, cut out a task sheet from the book. Allow your child to draw on the back of the worksheet. You will need eight colors to paint: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown and black. But if the child wants, he can draw with any other pencils. If the child is not yet able to hold the pencil firmly, he can use a felt-tip pen. Do not forget to praise the child after each task. Don't miss the comments under the headlines "Parents".
